Polyaramid, also known as Aramid fiber or Aromatic polyamide, is the most durable material for strings due to its high tensile strength and the fibrillar structure which contributes to notch
and abrasion resistance. Aramid Fiber is also very stiff compared to other string material; therefore, it is used in conjunction with softer string (such as nylon string) to compensate for the stiffness.
Polyfibre D'Aramid, a Co-Polyaramid string, uses our proprietary FFT (Fiber Fusion Technology) to combine Aramid fiber with highly resilient polyamide filaments. Our specially formulated resin adheres to the surface of Aramid fiber and fuses the Aramid fibers with outer-layer wrap of resilient polyamide filaments. Polyfibre D'Aramid is known for its strength and extreme durability with a higher degree of playability and elasticity.
We recommend stringing D'Aramid with 10% less tension than synthetic guts.
